Does Laser Hair Removal help stop ingrown hairs?

I have alot of ingrown hair on my leg and thighs. I’m thinking of buying the silk’n laser that they sell at sephora for $500. Because even waxing and sugaring gives me too many ingrown hairs, so bad it’s scarring my skin.
But I heard some people still get ingrown hairs with Laser Hair Removal.
I wonder if its worth it, will I get less ingrown hairs that the other method?
