Affordable Hair Removal – Electrolysis vs Laser Hair Removal

Is Hair Removal with a “bright light/large wand” considered TRUE Laser Hair Removal? Can light BE a laser?

It is cheaper, but, is it as effective? I was offered “laser hair removal” and the operator, who looked very inexperienced, just gave me four big flashes of bright light, and said she was “done”. If this is NOT a laser, I do not want to continue the treatment! Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, as well as some sources for further info.

it’s difficult to answer your question without seeing what they used. laser treatment is a kind of light and i have heard that when you get it done professionally they do cover larger areas of hair so it may well have been laser treatment. did you notice any difference after the first treatment?

also if you feel that the person doing it is too inexperienced, maybe ask for someone with more experience to do it if you are paying full price? or alternatively look at other places which do it and compare what they use / how they do it?
