Semi permanent hair color?

NOTE: Color and temporary staining.? I am obviously dirty blond hair and has never done. I decided to adventure Brunette and dyeing. I used a semi-permanent color that lasts 4-6 weeks. Initially, the color was lighter and lighter, but after about six weeks, it seems that plateaued at a medium brown. I have read many horror stories about people with dark hair, which ended in orange, but my hair is not nearly as drastically different from my natural color. To someone used paint Oops? If yes, how well did the work and do you think it would work for me.

Must usually 3ish month for my natural hair color to show more prominent place. I actually prefer a temporary dye, because they gradually fade away (still do), and it fades so (usually), as opposed to permanent.
