beard question – ingrown hair problem..?
hey guys.. i used to get an ingrown hair once or twice a month – bumps or a small whitehead on my neck from shaving.. recently in the last year tho.. it has been getting much worse my entire neck breaks out in areas.. and the pimples get painful -then i pick and pick at them and i look like a leper or something – i pre-soak my razor i use a pre lube oil on my face and a medicated shave cream – i have tried reg razors and electric… nothing seems to help….anyone have any ideas.? also has anyone ever done any type of permanent or chemical Hair Removal on their face and it worked well? i just cant stand my face looking so pitted all the time…i look liek i have a skin disease…
Don’t use chemical removal… some people have sensitive skin and thick hair, and there’s nothing you can do to make shaving less irritating. Chemical will irritate your skin and make it grow tougher.
I have used lazer hair removal. If you only have a few treatments, it reduces the amount of hair you have, and it makes the hair finer in general, and you don’t get it done entirely, you don’t look like a girl lol.
I highly recomend it in fact. It wasn’t too expensive really for what it was *worth*, I think I spent £1200 in total, over 6 months (in order to treat all the hair) and it also cures acne I hear.
Alternatively, if you have dark skin or light hair, you can use electrolysis, but I think this takes longer and hurts a bit.
So good luck, and if it the ingrown hair gets infected do see a doctor.
