Philips Hair Removal Epilator

How Good / Effective are Epilators as Unwanted Hair Removal Devices?

Planning to buy an epilator, please advice on the following aspects:
1. amount of pain?
2. no. of expected hair free days?
3. utility for underarms, or areas having thick coarse hair?
4. length of hair required before we can use the epilator?
5. Any side effect or harm due to long term usage?
6. Best way to use?
7. Better brand: Philips or Panasonic?
etc and other experiences…..
Please advice need to decide soon…..

I use an epilator. they are basically like slow, electric waxing! Yes they are extremely painful when you first start using them if you have never waxed the area before. You will get the same amount of hair free days as with waxing and also, every time you use it, you get more hair free days than the the previous time. I use mine on my under arms and I get a month without having to touch them again. In terms of hair length, a good rule of tumb is, if you cant pluck it ut, then you cant epilate it out!! Soemtimes you will get a little rash or in grown hairs and tenderness. The exact same problems as with waxing really. I don’t know which brand is best tbh, but personally i would get one that you can adjust the width of the epilating surface for bikini ect.

My rick is that I take pain killer 15 mins before i use it and I use talc powder (baby powder) on the area. This helps the epilator grip the hair better.

Good Luck!!
